 Welcome to
 Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is definitely a must-go destination. This Caribbean island is known by its beautiful beaches, its major tropical rainforest “El Yunque”, its historic city of Old San Juan and the friendliness of its people. Yet it is mainly known by the warm, caring hospitality it provides to all of its visitors, making them fall in love.

Ranked as one of the Top 10 Caribbean Destinations in the 2018 Trip Advisor Travel’s Choice Destination Awards, taking a trip to Puerto Rico is just a breeze! Located in the Caribbean between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, the island of Puerto Rico is a tourist destination that doesn’t require major planning or extensive traveling time.

Take a look at the estimated flight times between Puerto Rico and some of the US major cities:

  • Miami – 2 ½ hrs.

  • Atlanta – 3 ½ hrs.

  • Washington DC – 3 ½ hrs.

  • Chicago – 4 ½ hrs.

  • Dallas – 4 ½ hrs.

  • Los Angeles – 8 hrs.

Puerto Rico is a US territory; therefore no passport is required for US citizens to visit the island. There are daily flights to Puerto Rico from most major US airports. Check your preferred airline for details.

 EL MORRO

Named in honor of King Phillip II, El Morro is a 16th-century fortress.  Rising 140 feet above the sea, it's 18- foot thick walls provided the greatest defense to the city. Filled with dungeons, tunnels, outposts, ramps, and barracks, it is adorned with “garitas”, the circular boxes that once served as watchtowers.

On February 1949 El Morro was designated a National Historic Site, with the distinction of being the largest fortification in the Caribbean. It was restored in 1992, in honor of the 500th anniversary of the discovery of Puerto Rico by Christopher Columbus, and it is administered by the National Park Service.

You don’t want to miss running alongside this historic jewel, in time to capture a glimpse of the fantastic ocean views it has to offer!
